Thankyou, Thankyou, Thankyou….No really THANKYOU. Oh my goodness, What a week. What started our as my latest blog post, about my little project, to get Veronika a hydrotherapy spa, to give her every chance to
My girl could only just stand up in the walking frame when she started her hip reconstruction rehab 2 weeks ago….2 weeks of intense rehab done at Monash children’s hospital during the school holidays and Veronika walked around her school this morning.
Almost 6 months ago her femur was cut through and the head of her femur re angled into her hip, her hip had bone cut out and was reshaped and her pelvis was tilted to hopefully help contain the head of her femur in her hip socket…..I am so proud of how far she has come, following a massive surgery and the complications that followed.
‘Realistically Veronika will never walk again following surgery’…..we were told. Can’t wait to see the orthopaedic surgeon next month. I’m sure he will be just as excited as us to be proved wrong!
My girl is amazing….she never gives up.
